Irwell Unit - North Ward and South Ward

The Irwell Unit is a modern purpose built adult mental health unit which has two single gender wards.

South ward is based on the ground floor and accommodates male only patients and North ward is on the first floor and accommodates  female only patients.

It has a fully equipped gym, relaxation room, family room, external therapy area with an outdoor gym.

On the ground floor there is an occupational therapy kitchen and a family visiting room. The Irwell Unit also has a quiet space/prayer room for patients and staff.
