Stockport mental health support team

CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services) in schools - thrive in education

We help children and teenagers, aged four to 18, who are experiencing low level emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as worry or low mood.

Our aim is to help you reach your full potential, by offering the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

We offer various types of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural informed therapy (which helps to positively change thoughts and behaviour), counselling and sport or art-based therapy.

For parents, we can help you understand your child’s difficulties.

We can also offer training and guidance and support for staff at school.

We (Pennine Care) run the service in partnership with Beacon Counselling, a local charity.

Our team works with schools across the borough and we work closely with school staff and parents, to make sure you benefit from joined-up support.

We’re here all year round, including school holidays.

Please speak to your / your child's teacher, or the school’s mental health lead about how our service can help you.
