This Volunteers Week (1-7 June) we just want to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers who’ve been supporting our services.
We're truly proud to have you all as Pennine Care People. Here’s a message from Claire Molloy, our chief executive, to say thanks:
We know there are still many volunteers waiting to get back into services, when safety guidance and restrictions allow – and we just want to say thank you for your patience. We can’t wait to have everyone back!
We’re still keen to hear from anyone interested in volunteering – which could cover anything from befriending, to running psychology or recovery activities, to gardening. Visit our volunteering page to find out more.
Pauline Flint is one of our volunteers on Taylor Ward in Tameside, where she used to be a patient.
Pauline has shared a powerful and inspiring post about her journey from patient to volunteer, for Claire Molloy’s latest blog.
She said: "I would like to say a massive thank you, to all those who were involved in my care during my illness. And an even bigger one for accepting me into my present role."

Our fabulous volunteers gave over 360 hours to our covid vaccine hub, to help keep colleagues safe.
We are so grateful of your efforts in making sure people were welcomed, guided to their appointment, calmed and reassured as much as possible.
One volunteer, Carl, managed over 35,000 steps while supporting the clinic for one day!
