More info and frequently asked questions:

Greater Manchester Resilience Hub is a confidential, enhanced NHS service, initially set up to support all those impacted by the Manchester Arena Attack (both the public and professionals).

We have now expanded in order to support health and care workers who live and/or work in Greater Manchester. We also offer support to your dependents and immediate family members.

The hub is funded and supported by Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.

Our team of qualified NHS mental health professionals is experienced in working with adults, young people and children. We offer help and support to you, your dependents and immediate family members who are feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, or feel they would benefit from some additional wellbeing or mental health support.

We can offer advice about your individual experiences, signpost to potential sources of support and help you to access evidence-based therapies if required.

With your consent, we can also liaise with your employers (e.g. occupational health, employee assistance programs) on your behalf.

We offer a confidential screening programme for all health and care workers, as well as their family members and dependents.

If you have not been invited to screen yet, but believe you should have been then please contact us on 03330 095 071 or gm.help@nhs.net.

Our offer is open to health and care workers (their dependents and their families) who work within the Greater Manchester area, along with those working for North West Ambulance Service.

If you live in Greater Manchester, but you work in health and care elsewhere, this service is open to you and your family.

If you encounter a problem, would like the questions in a different language, or would prefer to complete the screening over the phone, please give us a call: 03330 095 071

Alternatively, you can email us on gm.help@nhs.net.

Our opening hours are:

Monday: 9am - 5pm

Tuesday: 9am - 5pm

Wednesday: 9am - 7pm

Thursday: 9am - 5pm

Friday: 9am - 3pm

The information you provide to us will be confidential; however, if you indicate that there may be a safeguarding risk to yourself, or anyone else (particularly a child or vulnerable adult), then we may need to discuss this with you further.

On completion of your screening questionnaire, we may offer to refer you to another service which may be able to offer more specific help. We will always discuss this with you and ask your permission before doing so.

Notes of your communication, whether via phone calls or emails (often emails are pasted into notes), will be stored security on your record which can only be accessed by the Hub team. For more information please contact the Hub or read more here: How we use your information :: Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust

Please Note: We also use anonymised data as a means of constantly evaluating our service and information with NHS England/Improvement (this does not include your clinical notes or your NHS number or postcode), in order to improve and to plan for any future needs.

Once you’ve completed the screening you’ll receive an email to the address you've provided.

This email will contain resources and useful links and, depending on your responses, your email may say a member of our team will call you in coming days.

Screening questions are not the full story so even if we don't state we'll call, you're welcome to call us to speak with a member of the team.

Yes, we value ongoing feedback and you can send it to us via email: gm.help@nhs.net.

We may also reach out to you once you've completed the screening for feedback on your experiences.

Additionally, if you have recently accessed support for you as an individual (rather than as a team/ organisation), please complete the following survey and provide feedback on your experience to NHS England. This will help identify any service improvements needed and also measure the impact that the hubs are having.

More details about how to provide feedback to Pennine Care (the host of GM Resilience Hub) can be found here.

Any information you provide remains confidential, but should you indicate risk towards yourself or others, particularly a child or vulnerable adult, or for the purposes of the detection or prevention of a serious crime, we may need to explore the circumstances further with you. On completion of your screening questionnaire, we may offer to refer you to another service which may be able to offer more specific help. We will always discuss this with you and ask your permission before doing so.

You are not required to inform the Hub where you work, and we will not liaise with your employer unless either the law requires it or with your explicit written consent.
