Stockport Access Team

Stockport access team is the ​​​​​​ single point of entry into mental health services in the Stockport area.

We accept referrals from GP’s and other healthcare professionals who are concerned that you are experiencing mental health difficulties that require a specialist service or cannot be managed by Primary Care. 

We screen and triage referrals throughout the day.  Each referral is reviewed on a case-by-case basis so you can be seen within the appropriate time frame.  Once we have received and triaged your referral we can:

• Direct you, or refer you to the relevant service
• Offer you a comprehensive mental health assessment and plan the next steps with you
• Offer advice on self-management strategies and coping techniques
• Arrange for a medical review if necessary
